About The Company

ASM Associate Sheet Metal Co. Ltd (ASM) provides quality metal shop services with twenty years experience behind them in the industry. They can provide a flexible service to a industry sectors that require reliable service and competitive pricing.

The business began trading in 1985 by four experienced me of the fabrication trade.

The founders had been working for H. Cook & Sons which sadly went out of business in the mid-eighties, a hard time for the industry in general. With their redundancy money and with an opening in the local market they established their own sheet metal business with a view to making a living. Twenty years on, ASM remains a successful business with a reputation for quality fabrication.

The business was fortunate enough to gain some important early on which have paved the way for their developments to date.  A large contract to supply cab units for aircraft tractor vehicles for both military and civil use was one such project which provided capital to invest in developments. From their first site in Vale Road, Nottingham, they moved to a far more versatile industrial unit which has been their base ever since.

About The Company Now solely run by sheet metal expert and determined managing director, Bernard Johnson the business continues to move forward. Experienced, dedicated and long serving fabrication staff have also been vital in maintaining the highest standard of service. With their ability to carry out small or large batch work, provide design assistance and a competitive, reliable service, ASM are ideally suited to solving their clients’ fabrication problems.

Having provided their services to the agricultural market, heavy plant manufactures and the food trade, ASM clearly have experience to deal with all markets. They have the facilities to cut and bend plate up to 6mm in thickness and manufacture and weld a variety of small and large angle-iron and plate welded constructions including guards, hoppers, ducting, balustrades, and hand rails using a selection of materials particularly mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. Such a range of abilities makes them a truly competitive member of the fabrication industry.
